OS2 LTD is an established company based in Rock, Cornwall. We specialise in building, renovation, carpentry, property maintenance & repair and holiday home services.

Property consultation service

We offer a property consultation service which will provide you with an opportunity to discuss any ideas for development or alteration works prior to submitting planning or obtaining quotations.

We often have clients that have recently purchased a new holiday home or second home in Cornwall and need advice on what options might be available.

External Building works

Our external works are just as important to us as the internal works. These days people demand a high level of quality work within the gardens as well as in the home itself.

We offer a bespoke service to provide you with the type and style of fencing that you require. A good quality fence or boundary can make a garden complete.

Cedar is becoming the most popular choice for bespoke fencing, screening and gates. Due to its natural beauty and weathering properties, when coupled with stainless steel fixings and ironmongery it is ideal for coastline properties.

We can supply quality fencing panels of different designs or alternatively we can build a totally bespoke fence in Cornwall to your requirements. The design options are endless and a one off design is always possible. All materials used are of high quality tantalised timbers and external grade fixings.

Patios can be created from a wide choice of finishes from natural slate to a standard patio slab in all shapes and sizes, and are unlimited in the design. Often including raised patios, raised flower beds, low walling etc. New green oak sleepers can also be used and create a natural appearance which is in-keeping with garden design. Block paving is a great way to create curves that can sweep around your driveway or garden and can overcome different ground levels without the need for low retaining walls. It has become very popular over recent years mainly due to the different finishes and patterns that can blend in with your property. It can be lifted if you need to carry out specific underground maintenance as block paving can be removed and replaced. We have carried out various driveways using block paving in Cornwall and some of these are shown in our pictures.

From the 1st October 2008, legislation means that you may now need planning permission to use hard surfaces in your front gardens. If you wish to use traditional impermeable materials such as tarmac or concrete that does not stop water from running off your garden onto roads. This legislation applies to hard surfaces exceeding 5 square metres.

If you use materials such as Permeable block paving or gravel, or if the water can soak into your ground, then you will not need planning permission.

We can supply and install many different block paving or gravel driveways that meet current legislation.
